As the snow continues to fall in Winter Park, the mountain continues to open up more terrain in this incredible early season winter. The gondola opened this past weekend giving access to more runs and areas on the slopes to explore. It was a noteworthy weekend with beautiful sunny skies, warmer temperatures and still lower crowds. More snow is in the forecast this week, with sunny skies again next weekend.
Now seems like the time to book a trip to Winter Park to experience some of the best November skiing along with fun events.
Save the date for the first ever Winter Venture Out Fest on December 14th from 12 to 5 p.m. It is sure to be a full day of free activities featuring fireworks, a free concert from Telluride’s Bowregard Band, backcountry basics, sled dogs, axe throwing, & more! Below is the schedule of events for the day:
-9 am to 4 pm: Ski and Snowboard Demos
-10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm: Uphill Clinics presented by The North Face
-12 pm to 2 pm: Meet the Avy Dogs
-12 pm to 4 pm: Axe Throwing
-12 pm to 5 pm: Synthetic Ice Rink
-3:30 pm to 5:30 pm: Dog sledding Demo and Meet/Greet
-3 pm to 5 pm: Free Concert with Bluegrass band, Bowregard
-5:30 pm: Fireworks
