Winter Park Resort opens in 2 weeks! On Wednesday, November 14th Winter Park Resort will officially open for the 2018/2019 ski season. Opening Day kicks off with the Gemini Lift opening at 9 a.m. and will run until 4 p.m. The famous Derailer Bar will be open all day offering drink specials and a fun atmosphere. Stick around for the afternoon where a raffle will be held.
After a day on the slopes head to the new Village Plaza, where you can stroll around and enjoy the ski village scene. The Village Plaza will be hosting a variety of events throughout the winter so check back often to keep up with our blog happenings.
While it is currently snowing in Winter Park, we can expect to see more accumulation as there is no sign of the snow stopping until next week. 8 inches of snow was reported from the past 12 hours. Bets are out the mountain received more. Cameras on Berthoud Pass showed glorious snow-peaked mountains with a beautiful forested back drop.
Winter in Grand County (home to Winter Park Resort) is a winter wonderland. We can't wait to count down the next two weeks to a fun, snow-filled ski season ahead!
